AILN have been providing high quality Self-Directed Support (SDS) advice and information to the people of Ayrshire for over a decade.

Since 2005 the three Ayrshire councils have jointly funded the SDS support & information service.

Our organisation has now grown to a team of 17 full/part time staff and now on top of our SDS service includes, a Self-funded Payroll department who provide a full payroll service for Personal Assistant (PA) employers.

We also have a Development department who are funded by the Scottish Government, The National Lottery Community Fund and the South Ayrshire Health & Social care partnership. Our Development team provides training, Peer support, local drop in’s, social media content and creation of new literature and case studies.  It also includes a Micro enterprise project, which is the creation of microenterprises to help address the challenges within health & social care in South Ayrshire and we have a Dementia Befriending service that provides 1-2-1 befriending and wellbeing cafes across Ayrshire.
