Job Advert- Support Worker

Hours:  Variable, approximately 17.5 per week inclusive or 1 sleepover 4 weekly. 6 weekly rota in place. Must be available for overtime to cover AL and sickness for other team members.

Driver: Driving Licence desirable

Pay Rate: £10.90 per hour plus 5.6 weeks AL Pro Rata

Job Description

The Employer is seeking a new Support Worker to join the team to provide Support to a man with learning disabilities supported in his own home.   Shadow shifts will be arranged and training will be given regarding the support needed.

– Previous experience in caregiving or a related field is preferred but not required

– Compassionate and patient demeanour

– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

– Ability to work independently and as part of a team

– Reliable transportation to travel to clients’ homes or care facilities

– Ability to pass a background check.

Post subject to successful reference and PVG checks.

Two up to date Reference contacts are required one of which must be from a present or previous employer. In addition, a new PVG enhanced disclosure will be required prior to appointment (disclosure cost to be met by the employer).
