Job Advert- Personal Assistant/Male Support Worker
Location – Mauchline
Pay Rate £12.00 per hour plus 5.6 weeks AL Pro Rata
Hours: – 10 hours per week, flexibility available (over two days)
Job description
This position is to support a young man in this 30s who has a brain injury and visual impairment as well as other health problems. He would get on better with someone of his own age.
He enjoys socialising, he likes walking and football.
Duties will include things like –
Accessing the local community
Snooker
Going for pub lunches
Taking him to the cinema, bowling etc
To encourage him to find news things he enjoys
No training required, family will advise to things to assist supporting the young man.
A driver would be an advantage as the young man lives very rural.
Post subject to successful reference and PVG checks.

Two up to date Reference contacts are required one of which must be from a present or previous employer. In addition, a new PVG enhanced disclosure will be required prior to appointment (disclosure cost to be met by the employer).

Probationary Period attached is 6 months to this post. During this period, either party can end the employment by giving the other one weeks’ notice.
