Hours: 20 hours per week (split over 4 days)

Positions: 1 Main Worker and 1 Relief Worker

Driver: Driving Licence preferred but essential. (the employer can drive but needs help in doing so)

Pay Rate: £12.00 per hour plus 5.6 weeks AL Pro Rata
Job Description

The Employer is seeking Support Worker to join his team in supporting him. He is a family man with hobbies in decoupage. He has health care needs, and requires support to get out and about and make the most of life.
This post is for a Support Worker, for both Personal care and Social support. The gentleman is a smart, articulate, and is a sociable man, he has a good sense of humour who has full capacity. He uses a wheelchair to get around so you will be required to undertake the training in Moving and assisting which will be provided. You will be expected to drive the employers mobility vehicle also if required.
The Employer is looking to employ someone responsible and preferably with experience although this is not essential. Your role will be to provide social and domestic support for the employer and may also include some personal care.
You will be joining a supportive work environment, working in the person’s own home and out in the community. You will be expected to help with all elements of daily living such as personal care, mobility, and ensuring medication needs are met. You will also help the person to access the community, undertake shopping or support him to take part in hobbies and interests.
Post subject to successful reference and PVG checks.
Two up to date Reference contacts are required one of which must be from a present or previous employer. In addition, a new PVG enhanced disclosure will be required prior to appointment (disclosure cost to be met by the employer).
