Details

Personal Assistant / Support Workers required to support a young woman with Downs Syndrome and Epilepsy in her own home and within the community.  She also has Asthma and an Underactive Thyroid.  Her Epilepsy is controlled by medication although she sometimes has ‘absences’

She is quiet until she gets to know you, but is fun loving with a good sense of humour. She has no sense of danger or road sense, therefore staff must be very aware of risks and ensure her safety at all times.

She likes to go out to dinner or to the pub and enjoys going to the Gaiety.  She loves music / watching films and baking.

Initially, support will take place in the family home to give time for staff to build up a relationship with her and for her to recover from recent health issues. It is then hoped that, in the near future, staff will be able to support her to go out in the community and enjoy her hobbies and interests.

*Please note that this is a non-smoking household.
