Personal Assistant / Support Worker (Female)
Hours: 18 – 20 hrs per week (72 – 80 hrs in a 4 wk period)
TO BE WORKED 2 DAYS OVER 5 (Shifts as below) – TO BE DISCUSSED AT INTERVIEW
Mon / Tues / Wed & Fri 8am – 6pm (with 1 hour unpaid lunch break)
Thur 8am – 9pm (Split Shift – with 2 hour unpaid break – to be discussed at interview)
ROP: £8.75 per hour
Personal Assistant / Support Worker required to support a young woman in her own home and within the community. You will also be required to assist her with childcare.
You will provide support throughout the day with household tasks and meal preparation. Minimal support required for personal care (mainly being present when the employer is showering in case of falls). You will be required to accompany the employer to appointments etc
The employer has 3 children and an important part of your role will be to assist her with childcare including drop off / pick up from school (this may be on foot / by public transport or by use of own car)
As you may be required to use your own car to transport the children, you must hold a current clean driving licence and have (or be willing to obtain) business insurance.
Experience / Qualifications Required
Experience of support work / childcare preferred but not essential
***This position is subject to a 6 month probationary period.
Successful applicants will have to provide 2 references (one of which must be your current or most recent employer) and undergo a New PVG Disclosure at the employers cost. (PVG will be for Children & Adults)
