Hrs :

on offer is a weekend post – either 1 or 2 days, employer flexible.

either for 1 person or willing to job share, as well as offer variable hrs.

Also available and on offer is some waking overnights.

Employer happy to negotiate days and hrs for the right candidates.

The gentleman is 30 years old and has learning difficulties and extra support needs.

Duties:

He is profoundly disabled and needs support with all aspects of personal care.

However he is fun loving, cheeky enjoys swimming

He likes to get out and about and requires to use a manual wheelchair. Staff will be required to push this.

He likes to go to his music group, bowling.

Occasionally goes to hydrotherapy.

He likes to watch movies and the computer and going on holiday, with support.

Skills:

Being a driver and having Use of own vehicle would be a distinct advantage, fuel will be reimbursed if using car as part of your duties, you will require business use on your car Ins, but not essential.

Staff will be required to encourage him to try new things and come up with new ideas and stimulate him and keep him active.

Staff will be required to be patient, understanding and caring

Have a willingness to learn new skills

Training requirements:

• Will be required to have a moving and assisting certificate or willing to undertake training ( at the employers cost )
• Knowledge of Administering Medication or willing to undertake training.

*** Successful applicants will be required undergo a new or update of the PVG scheme ( at the employers cost ) and supply 2 up to date reference contacts.

There is 6 month probation attached to this post, of which if things do not work out on either side there is a 1 weeks’ notice within the probationary period.
