2 Female Personal Assistants required to assist a young disabled woman in the Fairlie.
£9 per hr
Rate of pay:£9 p/hour, as of the 1st April
2 posts : Both average 12.5hrs per week, over a 4 week period
Post 1 — 4 weekly rota
week 1 & 3 = 11hrs per week ( 7.30pm – 10.30pm Sat & 8.30am – 4.30pm Fri)
weeks 2 & 4 = 14hrs per week ( 7.30-10.30pm Sun, Tues 8.30am – 4.30pm, Wed 7.30pm -10.30pm )
week 1& 3 = 6hrs per week ( Sun and Wed – 7.30pm – 10.30pm )
weeks 2 & 4 = 19hrs per week = ( Sat 7.30pm – 10.30pm, Thurs & Fri 8.30am – 4.30pm
You may be asked to work additional hours to cover staff sickness and holidays. Flexibility is important as these hours can vary.
Female Personal Assistants required to assist a young disabled woman in the Fairlie area.
Applicants are required to work: 9am to 5pm (daytime) and/or 7.30 to 10.30pm ( Applicants may be asked to work additional hours to cover staff sickness and holidays. Flexibility is important as these hours can vary.
You will be employed to work in the employer’s home and out and about with the young woman. As the young woman has hospital appointments in Glasgow from time to time it is important that the applicant feels confident driving in a city environment.
Personal assistant required to assist a young capable disabled woman in the Fairlie area, Must be open minded and comfortable as will be assisting with personal care e.g. showering, bathing, dressing etc., as well as domestic tasks and cooking .
Assistance with housework and household chores.
Accompanying the employer to attend hospital appointments, job interviews etc.
Accompanying the employer to attend social activities and meetings.
Previous experience assisting with personal care (showering and bathing, dressing) experience and an interest in the field of care is essential. A clean uk driving license is essential. As part of the job you will be required to drive the employer’s Motability vehicle (manual)
Experience of using a tracking hoist is preferable (training can be given)
Applicants must be comfortable around dogs and all aspects of their care.
Applicants are not permitted to smoke within the employer’s home or car.
The job involves a variety of different tasks other than the above, some of which will also be assisting the employer with transport to enable the employer to take part in activities out with the home environment e.g. attending hospital appointments, job interviews, and other social activities.
previous experience of Supporting People is essential , Applicants must be comfortable around animals
A Clean Driving licence is essential as you will be required as part of your duties, to drive the employers Motability Vehicle ( Manual Car )

There is a 6 month probationary period attached to this post
