Female Domestic / Support worker driver

15 hrs per week

3 to 4 days over 7

Shifts will be discussed at interview

£9.50 per hr

Must have full drivers license and be comfortable driving an automatic car. Must be willing to work some extra hrs to cover when other staff are on A/L

The employer is a disabled lady who lives in her own home. It is important to recognize that the support you are employed to assist with will be provided within the family home, therefore confidentiality and respect for the family’s privacy and daily routine is of the utmost importance.

The tasks you may be required to do will vary, according to her needs, and will include the following:

HOUSEHOLD TASKS:

These will be completed on a regular basis throughout the week or when needed:

Hoovering, Dusting, Changing the beds

Washing / ironing

Cooking and Preparing a meal, sandwich, drink, sometimes for visitors

Emptying the bins

Keeping the kitchen clean and tidy, mopping floor

Keeping the bathroom clean and tidy

GENERAL TASKS:  Done as and when required

Going to the local shops / assisting me with my shopping

Light household maintenance e.g changing a light bulb using the appropriate equipment e.g ladders.

Hoover out my car

PERSONAL TASKS:

When my other staff are on Annual leave or off sick I will require you to assist me with showering, Bathing, Drying myself

PET CARE

You may be asked to assist me with the feeding and walking of my 2 small dogs – One dog can be noisy, but is not aggressive

SOCIAL ACTIVITIES / OUTINGS: assist me

Going to appointments — Doctors, Hospital

Going to the shops

Meeting Friends/Family

Assisting with Leisure Activities

Going out in the evenings – Possibly to the bingo

Driving the employers Automatic Motability car

There is a 6 month probationary period attached to the post, with a 1 weeks’ notice if the post doesn’t work out.

The post will accrue 5.6 wks paid annual leave per annum inclusive of Public Holidays, based on contracted hrs.

The employer may state when some of this annual leave has to be taken, the holiday year runs from the 1st April to 31st March, all annual leave must be used within this frame time.

A/L must be agreed by the employer in advance of booking time off

Please note that the Employer will require staff to adhere to safe working practice, this will include the use of PPE ( Masks, hand gel, gloves ) , as well as using Lateral Flow Testing Kits . PPE will be supplied by the employer.

The post is subject to the outcome of a New or update of the PVG disclosure scheme – cost paid by the employer , as well as supplying 2 up to date reference contacts, one should be your most recent employer
