2 Support worker / Drivers Posts 18hrs each
- £9.75 per hr, rising to £10.25 per hr after 6 month probation.
- 18 Hrs per week, 2 posts available ( both 18 hrs )
- 3 to 4 days out of 7, per post
*** Some possible overnights, notice will be given
Previous experience of working with adults with extra support needs. He is 27 years old and has Cerebral Palsy, with severe learning difficulties.
Use of own vehicle would be a distinct advantage, fuel will be reimbursed if using car as part of your duties, you will require business use on your car Ins.
You will be required to be a swimmer or confident in the water.
- Moving and assisting certificate will be a distinct advantage or willing to undertake training ( at the employers cost )
- Knowledge of Administering Medication or willing to undertake training
To support a disabled gentleman with all aspects of personal care including, aiding with washing, dressing and feeding.
He likes to get out and about and requires to use a manual wheelchair. Staff will be required to push this.
He likes to go to his music group, swimming, bowling
Occasionally goes to hydrotherapy.
He likes to watch movies, he likes puzzles and the computer
Staff will be required to encourage him to try new things and come up with new ideas and stimulate him and keep him active.

*** Successful applicants will be required undergo a new or update of the PVG scheme ( at the employers cost ) and supply 2 up to date reference contacts
There is 6 month probation attached to this post, of which if things do not work out on either side there is a 1 weeks’ notice within the probationary period.
