AILN are delighted that they will soon be able to put people who are new to SDS in touch with a volunteer peer mentor. This means that if you are thinking about SDS or would just like to be able to talk to someone who has it rather than another professional then we’ll have someone in each of the 3 Ayrshires that you can talk to.

 

The people who have volunteered all have SDS themselves and have experienced ups and downs and can offer you an ear to listen or tell you what it was like for them. They are currently undergoing some training with the Scottish Mentoring Network and will be ready to talk with people from the middle of the year. We will keep you posted when it’s officially up and running 🙂
